Table 4 Ten launches its 2009 event in support of prostate cancer
The date for the Sydney T4T event was announced as September 22, 2009, to coincide with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. The event, now in its second year, will see a table for ten treated to a specially designed menu, complemented with Glandore Estate wines, at each of the 50 restaurants and venues.
According to T4T Committee Chairman, Robbie Robertson, the aim of T4T is to reinvigorate the essence of the charity dinner. “Aside from raising much needed funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, we wanted to create a charity event that people would really want to attend. Table4Ten has broad appeal that allows us to turn a serious health message into a glamorous and exceptionally fun evening with friends, while creating awareness and informing discussion about a very important yet under exposed cause – prostate cancer,” he said.
