Prostate Cancer Specialist Nursing Service
The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nursing Service is an existing program delivered by Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) and established through generous initial funding from The Movember Foundation. The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses are currently placed in hospitals in all States and Territories across Metropolitan and Regional Australia. PCFA have now received additional Commonwealth Government funding to enable expansion of this service. The funding enables placement of additional nurses in both hospitals and community settings. These nurses will be employed directly by the host health providers, and will be professionally supported by PCFA.
PCFA is seeking Expression of Interest from health service providers who meet the following criteria to apply to be a host employer of a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse:
- Secondary or Tertiary hospital or Medicare local
- Public or private provider
- Direct provider of or linked into a service which provides multidisciplinary prostate cancer care
- Metropolitan or regional/rural setting

Nurses who are interested in applying for a position as a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse should liaise directly with the host sites once selected as PCFA will not be recruiting these positions directly.
