Prostate Cancer Specialist Nursing Service
The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nursing Service is a PCFA initiative which funds the placement of nurses in hospitals across Australia in partnership with health service providers.
The program was officially launched on the 3rd of May, 2012 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Nurses employed as part of this program met for their initial training and then returned to their hospitals to continue their great work.
PCFA is proud to announce that the following hospitals currently host Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses as part of our pilot program:

- Bendigo Hospital, VIC
- Canberra Hospital, ACT
- Darwin Hospital, NT
- Hollywood Private Hospital, WA
- Latrobe Regional Hospital, VIC
- Launceston General Hospital, TAS
- Mater Adults Hospital, QLD
- Royal Adelaide Hospital , SA
- Royal Hobart Hospital, TAS
- Tamworth Hospital, NSW
- Townsville Hospital, QLD
The Movember Foundation generously provided $3.6 million of funding for the first part of the program.

The service is set to expand following the announcement of additional funding through the federal government. Details of the additional participating hospitals will be posted on the PCFA website once they are recruited.
