Runners from seven countries will endure gruelling runs in the annual Canberra 48hr Race.
Athletes from Scotland, China, Qatar, Japan, Nigeria, USA, New Zealand and Australia will run for 48 hours, 24 hours, 12 hours and 6 hours in track races beginning Friday 16 March to Sunday 18 March 2018 at the Australian Institute of Sport Athletics Field in Canberra.
This is the 3rd annual staging of the ultra-running festival and the first time a 48 hour race has featured on the event program.
The race is run by Kilted to Kick Cancer (KTKC), an initiative established by health professionals Billy Pearce and Rhian Blackwell to bring attention to prostate cancer by wearing kilts and holding events.
