Side effects of treatment for advanced prostate cancer

If you are being treated for advanced prostate cancer, you may experience a variety of side effects. Side effects are unwanted and unpleasant symptoms or reactions caused by treatments and not the prostate cancer itself. Some side effects may be mild, temporary and/or easily managed. Other side effects may be more severe and some may develop into serious health conditions that require more medical treatment.

The various treatment side effects

Side effects and their severity vary from person to person. Side effects can have both a physical and psychological impact on how you are feeling. The important thing is for you to find out as much as you can about available treatments and their side effects before you start, so that you can be better prepared.
